Yeast

Gluten Free Yeast and Yeast Extract

Yeast:

Both fresh and dried yeast are naturally gluten free. However you must check that they say they are gluten free because many manufacturers will process it in factories that also process gluten products and so the risk of cross contamination is quite high.

Yeast Extract:

Yeast Extract is made through a process of heating yeast and breaking it down. Not all Yeast Extract is Gluten Free, it really depends on how it's been made and the processes the manufacturer has followed. Be careful with crisps and snacks, many contain Yeast Extract for example dry roasted peanuts.

Marmite

Love it or Hate it; Marmite is not Gluten Free. If you are desperatly missing that black salty goodness try Meridian Yeast Extract
